AM/FM Radio

Discover receivable AM/FM radio stations by scanning, tuning to a specific frequency or accessing a list of all your Favourites. Simply select AM or FM radio from the Entertainment menu.

Using AM/FM Radio

Using your AM/FM Radio is simple and convenient.

Listen to your radio:

  1. Select ENTERTAINMENT from the Home screen. The display will return to the last audio source visited (default is FM radio), the Entertainment menu will be visible at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select entertainment.
  3. Select FM.
  4. Select Station List, Add to Favourites, Scan, Tune, Traffic Alerts On/Off, Previous, Next, or Sound Settings.

 

Auto Memory

Conveniently access up to 10 receivable radio stations in your current location, listed in order of signal strength.

Using auto memory:

  1. Select AUTO MEMORY from the Entertainment menu.
  2. Select Update Station List (for up to 10 receivable radio stations). Make your selection.

– Instructions may vary, depending on your system's version of software.

Genre Seek

Some FM radio stations transmit genre codes (news, sports, talk, pop, rock, classical, blues). This makes it possible to search for receivable stations within a selected genre.

Seek FM radio stations in a specific genre:

  1. Select ENTERTAINMENT from the Home screen.
  2. Select ENTERTAINMENT.
  3. Select Station List.
  4. Select All Stations.
  5. Select genre type.
  6. Receivable FM radio stations of that genre will appear. Select a station.
  7. For additional options in that genre, select Seek Previous or Seek Next.
  8. To look for FM radio stations in a different genre, select Change Genre.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

– Only one genre can be selected at a time.

– Only receivable FM analogue broadcast radio stations are searchable by genre.

– Instructions may vary, depending on your system's version of software.

DAB Radio (if equipped)

Digital Audio Broadcasting, or DAB Radio, is technology that allows you to listen to digital radio stations with the benefits of enhanced sound quality, additional stations and improved user features. Use of DAB Radio is based on DAB signal strength and availability.

Listening to DAB Radio:

  1. Select DAB from the Entertainment menu (default is FM radio). If the DAB station you are tuned to is available, it will begin playing.

PLEASE NOTE:

– Channel frequency is not shown when using DAB Radio. Only unique combinations of channel ID and station names are used.

Updating Station List:

Due to signal strength and location, you may need to periodically update your station list for currently available stations.

  1. Select UPDATE LIST on the Station List page.
  2. When updating the DAB station list, the audio will go silent. The update may required a few minutes to complete, depending on DAB Radio signal strength.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

– If DAB signal strength is lost, the system will go silent and search for similar content on other DAB/FM frequencies based on the DAB settings selection. You may also choose to change the Ensemble or go back and select an AM/FM radio station.

– You may experience poor reception in certain areas due to the coverage of the Digital network and not hardware performance.

 

Favourites Radio

Create a list of up to 50 of your favourite stations from all of your radio sources including AM, FM and DAB for quick, easy access.

Add a favourite station:

  1. Select FAVOURITES.
  2. Select Add/Edit Radio Favourite.
  3. Select Add <active station XYZ>. The station will appear at the bottom of the Favourites list.

 

Delete a favourite station:

  1. Select FAVOURITES.
  2. Select Add/Edit Radio Favourite.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. Select the radio station you want removed.
  5. Select Delete.

 

Change the order of favourite radio stations listed:

  1. Select FAVOURITES.
  2. Select Add/Edit Radio Favourite.
  3. Select Move.
  4. Select the radio station you want to move.
  5. Move the station by dragging it or using the multimedia commander.
  6. Once the station is in place, select OK.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

If the vehicle battery is disconnected, your Favourites list will not be deleted.
