Volume, Display and Sound

For an optimal listening experience, you can customize the sound in your vehicle.

• Adjust volume using the commander volume knob
• Customize active driving display (AD-DISP) if equipped
• Customize touch screen display
• Customize sound quality

Adjust volume using the commander volume knob:

1. Adjust volume of phone calls, navigation, music, etc. by turning the commander volume knob clockwise to increase volume, turn counterclockwise to decrease volume.
2. Short-press the commander volume knob to turn MUTE On or Off.
3. The volume button on the steering wheel can also be pressed to adjust volume.

 

Customize active driving display (AD-DISP), if equipped:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select AD-DISP tab.

 

Customize touch screen display:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select DISPLAY tab.
3. Select Display.
   1. Press Off to turn touch screen display Off.
   2. Touch screen display can be turned on by pressing any button on the commander.
4. Select System to adjust touch screen display according to time of day.
   1. Press Day, for daytime mode.
   2. Press Night, for night mode.
   3. Press Auto to let screen automatically switch according to headlight illumination conditions.
5. Select Brightness, use slider to adjust touch screen display brightness as desired.
6. Select Contrast, use slider to adjust touch screen display contrast as desired.
7. Select Restore Factory Settings to reset screen to original settings, press Yes to confirm.

 

Customize sound quality:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select Sound tab.
3. Select Bass (low pitch sound), slide to enhance or reduce.
4. Select Treble, slide to enhance or reduce.
5. Select Fade, slide to adjust front/back speaker volume balance.
6. Select Balance, slide to adjust left/right speaker volume balance.
7. Select Auto Level Control (standard audio) for automatic volume adjustment at 7 levels.
8. Select Centerpoint (Bose sound system) to turn automatic surround level adjust On or Off.
9. Select AudioPilot (Bose sound system) to turn On or Off.
10. Select Beep to turn audio operation sound On or Off.

Customize Distance Recognition Support:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SAFETY tab.
3. Select Distance Recognition Support System,
   1. Press Mode to turn distance recognition On or Off.
   2. Press Warning Distance to adjust distance sensitivity.
      1. Select Far, Med. or Near.
      2. Press Reset to restore default settings.

 

Customize Smart Brake Support:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SAFETY tab.
3. Select Smart Brake Support (SBS/SCBS).
4. Select your desired settings.

 

Customize Forward Obstruction Warning:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SAFETY tab.
3. Select Forward Obstruction Warning.
4. Select your desired settings.

 

Customize Rear View Monitoring Volume:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SAFETY tab.
3. Select Rear View Monitoring Volume.
4. Select your desired settings.

 

Customize Blind Spot Warning Volume:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SAFETY tab.
3. Select Blind Spot Monitoring Volume.
4. Select your desired settings.

 

Customize Lane Departure Warning System:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SAFETY tab.
3. Select Lane Departure Warning System.
4. Select your desired settings.

 

Allow wipers to activate automatically when it rains:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select VEHICLE tab.
3. Select Rain Sensing Wiper, turn On or Off.

 

Customize automatic door lock settings:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select VEHICLE tab.
3. Select Door Lock.
4. Select your desired settings.
5. Select Keyless Lock Beep Volume, select to set volume at High, Medium, Low or Off.
6. Select Door Relock Time, select to set automatic relocking at 90, 60 or 30 seconds.
7. Select Unlock Mode to select your desired settings.

 

Customize turning signals:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select VEHICLE tab.
3. Select Turn Signals.
4. Select your desired settings.

 

Customize lighting:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select VEHICLE tab.
3. Select Lighting.
4. Select your desired settings.

 

Customize clock settings:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SYSTEM tab.
3. Select Clock.
4. Select desired settings.

 

Select the appropriate language:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SYSTEM tab.
3. Select Language, press appropriate language choice.

 

Select temperature format:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SYSTEM tab.
3. Select Temperature, press F (Fahrenheit) or C (Celsius).

 

Select distance format:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SYSTEM tab.
3. Select Distance, press Miles or km (kilometers).

 

Reset your system to the original settings:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SYSTEM tab.
3. Select Restore All Factory Settings to reset system to original settings, press Yes to confirm.

 

Review agreements and disclaimers:

1. Select SETTINGS from the Home screen.
2. Select SYSTEM tab.
3. Select About.
4. Select Agreements and Disclaimers to display list of documents for viewing.
